Holiday Show / Rehearsal Information
Click here for the line-up for the 5:30 and
7:15 show. Please arrive 1/2 hour prior
to show time for both shows and proceed to
the basement of
the arts center for check in. If your
child is in multiple numbers, please layer
their clothes. For example, if tap is first
and ballet second, please put the pink
tights and black leotard under the black
pants and red shirt so all the children have
to to is remove one layer and they are
already dressed for the next routine. PLEASE
LABEL EVERYTHING!!!! This is the only way we
can be sure everyone returns home with their
costumes/clothing. Please arrive in your red
shirt over your costume..the opening number
will have all children in their red shirts.
Send your child with a dance bag with ALL
items needed for the show in the bag. Dance
shoes, costume change... Please do not send
anything additional in with your child. ONLY
Shoes and costume changes (if necessary) in
their bags. Arrive in your first costume
with red shirt over it, this will limit
additional confusion for your child as to
what they need to wear when. Hair must be
pulled neatly in a bun with stage make-up
already on upon arrival for check-in. No
Exceptions.... It is important that our
dancers look uniform and presentable for
their performance.
FOR ALL REMAINING CLASSES/REHEARSALS THIS
WEEK....
Please arrive in your costume this week
during your regular class time or your
scheduled theater rehearsal. No
make-up...hair does not need to be pulled in
bun. However, we do need to see the
costumes, so PLEASE send your child in
his/her costume. This will help us see who
is in need of what so we can help prior to
show night. When you arrive this week,
please report to your regularly scheduled
class in the dance classroom. If you are a
Monday class arriving for your scheduled
theater rehearsal, you may report directly
to the theater.

February 20, 2011 - Be a part of the Senior
Showcase
'Hello Shoreline! Something new we"re having
this year is a Senior Showcase that will
feature choreography by the our
high school seniors featuring any
Shoreline Dancer who is interested in giving
up a little extra time to practice. A little
bit about me is that my name is Ashley
Daniel and I am a senior at
Monmouth Regional High School who
will be attending
Rutgers University in the fall. As of
now I will be choreographing three routines,
each for a different skill level. The first
will be a Contemporary Jazz routine for the
more advanced student (4+ years taking
Contemporary or Lyrical or a mature
understanding of its concepts). The second
will be a lyrical routine for students who
have had 2-4 years taking that style or one
similar to it. And the third will be a
Contemporary Ballet routine for younger
students who may have had 0-2 years training
in that style. Each class will meet once a
week and each dance will only have 4
rehearsals in a row, so attendance is fairly
important. Rehearsals will be on Mondays
from 4:30-5:30. The first rehearsal will be
for the Lyrical routine for students ages 8
and up who have had 2 + years of dance.
Monday February 28th will be the first
practice. There is NO COST for
participating in this program. If you are
interested, please contact Ms. Heather via
email or at
732-897-1112 to confirm your space in
this piece. Thank You for supporting us with
this new project!
